So the name of this piece sounds a lot like "Godzilla"...

A two handed giant cleaver!

Will easily chop a 2 by 4 in one swipe... I know this can be done with smaller blades but this does it easily!

overall length: 32.5" (17" blade)

maximum blade thickness: 0.255" including coating

weight: 5lb 7oz (BP +2")

sheath/scabbard: 14oz shield leather (black)

'freaking beastly'- sounds about right to me! That's a wild piece of hardware

CHOPPER extraordinaire! It certainly can do some HEAVY chopping.

At over 5 lbs, that is also a beefy tool.

Thanks everyone,

It's a bit heavy for me so I was thinking about making a smaller version... I must be getting conservative in my old age!

As a regular model in my line-up I don't know... it's a big piece of steel...hmmmn

The handle slabs on this one are carved acrylic (none of my composite sheets were large enough!) but I think a gnarly wood with some carving would be better.

BTW I forgot to mention that this is spring tempered for unbreakable-ness, so I carbidized the edge for wear resistance.

That thing is AWESOME, I love the look of it and watching you split the 2x4 in the video was impressive. It looks like it is giving you a heck of a workout from swinging it.
