Still walks and talks. :)

I've got this nice little sleeveboard pen knife courtesy of my buddy Mike Robuck who collects some Henckels knives.

I've got a red lockback just like that.

They are nice knives. I think, but I'm not totally positive, they came in 4 colors of bone: red, brown, green, and fossil ivory.

Nice to see that knife again, Elliott. I hope it's finding some pocket time on occasion.

I think those lockbacks were sold by United Cutlery. Not sure if Olbertz, Boker or someone else made them, but Henckels quit making its own pocket knives in the 1960s.

Here's an older lockback with grooved bolsters.

Î love Henkels, my grandfather had a sleeveboard pen knife, most of you know what happened to it.
But I know, one day I will find one like it.

I have a couple of current Henkels, a whittler and a stockman both in SS.
I wanted carbon, but there was a miss communication.

The stockman is almost the same as a Boker, and I was told here they are made in the same place.

They are honest worker that hold a reasonable edge.

I have picked up 5 of the 4 blade stockmans in the last couple of months. They are Boker made and the quality on 4 of the 5 has been excellent. One has a very lazy sheepsfoot blade. A lot of online stores are closing them out so the price is real nice on them right now.

I have my grandfather's J.A. Henckel, it is still in my EDC rotation. Just a nice pen knife that I cherish...

I have a few modern Henckels knives. Mike, I never tire of seeing your fantastic stag lock-back. Blues and Absintheur those are great looking edc pen knives. I carry the same pattern as the latter with fossil bone sclaes that I bought a few years ago. Apologies if this is too far off topic, let me know and I will remove it. I collect antique corkscrews and have this Henckels circa 1880s. It has a dusting brush and a wire/wax cutter as well.

S-K, I don't recall seeing one of those with the brush. I recently was able to purchase a bound Henckels catalog from 1898. I'll flip through it to see if your corkscrew is in there.

I need to take some scans of other Henckels knives.

S-K, I just sent you an email through BF. I can send a large file scan to you if you give me your email address. Or I could post a smaller file here if you'd rather.

chickenplucker,

The Fossil Ivory is as close to yellow as they have. Very nice knives and I suspect gone forever (unless they get chinesified).

The pre-1980 models are top-notch and still somewhat sleepers.
