Anybody like Momo steering wheels?

I've been using Momo steering wheels forever and personally I think they feel so much better than stock ones that come with the cars (for their prices, they better be good...).

Another good thing is that they virtually need no maintainance. With the temperature at about 32 degrees Celcius at year round, it's amazing that one of my earlier wheels lasted 5 years before I traded it away. They will not crack or peel.

Anyway, I've just bought a Momo Fighter to replace my 1.5 year old Momo Millennium. I just want to know the level of interests here before I put it up for trade, otherwise, I'll post it up on Ebay.

You may want to check out DSMtuners.com, I know they have a classifieds section there and there is an interest for Momo wheels. I'm not sure if they are compatible for sure or if you would just need the specific hub to fit it together  ... I've been away from car forums for a while :footinmou

Well, my car came stock with a Momo steering wheel and I love it! Feels great, comfortable to use. I guess my only wish is that it was a three spoke wheel instead of a four spoke. No big deal though. :)

WRX? .

There're lots of hub out there for different types of car. Generally, a "universal" steering hub/adapter will have different sets of threaded holes for momo, nardi or sparcos. However, I'm not sure about steering wheels with 3 (Gant ?) or 5 holes.

You might also want to install a spacer on the hub before the steering wheel. With my thick, fat fingers, I always manage to switch on the wipers or indicators when I make a big turn. Having a spacer solves that.

Another thing I have done is to change the allen (spelling?) key bolts that comes with the hubs. They are always ugly (black) and manage to rust after a while. What I've done is to go down to the local hardware store and get some button or machine head stainless steel ones. That really improve the look of the wheel!

Speaking about which, I'll most likely put my Millennium up in the trade forum in a day's time. I'm trying to looking around for a digital camera.... However, I've no idea what I want for it so I'll be thinking hard about that...

I'm using a logitech "MOMO" racing wheel for my virtual racing. One of the best reasonably-priced items available in the force-feedback line, and it looks cool too.

Only if the driver dumps the clutch. Dumping the clutch in an AWD vehicle is a big no-no.

Because there isn't enough torque? :D
Hate to break it to you, but same size engine as a WRX. As for not enough torque... 'nuff said.

Dude, it was just a poke back for your poke. I really don't care how much power or torque you make in your modified vehicle using nitrous oxide.

I've never had transmission problems, and the number of people who have had transmission problems is very small. Most of the time, it's due to a clutch dump with a modified engine making gobs of torque. "User error".

Let's get back on topic shall we? Thanks.

STi- 200+lb ft of torque. (closer to 300, but I don't remember)
Two words for torque: Turbo Diesels

The STi, which I do not own, is 300 hp 300 ft-lbs from 2.5L. For the engine size, that's a good amount of hp AND torque from a stock engine that is fully LEV compliant. Turbo Diesels put out lots of torque, but not as much hp. Emissions are a total disaster. Apples to apples.

Again, let's get back on topic.

Ok, let's stick to apples. Lancer Evo MR 295lb-ft out of 2.0L =D
Hahaha, my boy like's Mitsu's too ;) STI is put off as a rally car, real rally car's are restricted to 2 liters of displacement.
