I`ve decided to expand a bit, and make some tactical models. This one is 7 1/2" overall, with a 3 1/2" blade, of 3/16" thick O1, 1 3/8" tall at the widest point. The blade is chisel ground (only the left side is ground), and is slightly recurved. Handles are black canvas micarta.

This one is also chisel ground. It`s 4 1/2" overall, with a 2" cutting edge, 1/8" thick, and 1" tall. I put 1/8" thick green canvas micarta scales on this one. It will come with kydex for neck or keychain carry.

That first one is definitely one of nicest looking blades I have seen from ya John, awesome !
Not sure about the chisel grind but I guess you'd put whatever grind the person wanted on anyway eh !

Love it !;)

Those are neat little guys! Next thing you know, you'll be putting sharpened swedges on blades and having them Gun-Koted ;)

Very nice. Looking at that first one, I'm thinking that a convex grind, natural handles, and brass pins would turn it into a really great little hunter. I hope that this one becomes popular, as I look forward to seeing future incarnations.

All the best,

I really like the knives! I have personal issues with the term "tactical", but I won't hold that against these designs.:D

I really like all three of these. I like the idea of a chisel grind on a "tactical" knife. Easy to sharpen and just adds to the "viciousness" of the knife. That first one reminds me of some of Ken Brocks work, very nice.

Wanted to bump this one up. I’ve been going through some old threads and the top knife really interests me. I like the design a lot. I was wondering if you still have the pattern or was it a one off thing?

Yeah, that top one kind of looks like and EO1 with a lot of belly. Little more extension over the finger. Nice little knife.

Ok after the kiridashi and K tool I’ll send you a message and we can talk about the details!
Make sure you save a link to this thread so I know what we are talking about. I’ll be 66 in less than two weeks, my memory is not what it used to be.
