Recommendation? Anybody make or adapt sheath for Tops ATAX?

I have, carry and use a TOPS ATAX however, I’ve never liked the metal belt clips. They are annoying and now loosening up after years of use. I either want to make a new sheath out of leather or adapt the current sheath sans clips into belt carry with leather. Does anybody have any experience with this or ideas on moving forward?Im open to suggestions and appreciate any/all input!

The existing sheath can probably be adapted, but without a couple of photos it's hard to offer any meaningful suggestions.

Adaptation of the existing sheath would certainly be much more cost effective as the shape of the implement would require custom work and that would
very likely be in excess of the cost of the tool.
