Anybody near Petersburg, VA?

Looks like I'll be spending a month there. What can/should I do on weekends? I was thinking a trip up hwy 13 but I hate sitting in tourist traffic.

Mmm I drive thru alot to family in Williamsburg or Richmond. They have some great breweries. The Answer, Veil, Lickinghole Creek, Strangeways, and Hardywood are all awsome. Busch Gardens is in Williamsburg. Great Burgers and Beer at Jack Browns in Richmond. Sorry I can help much for Petersburg proper.

I've done a lot of vacationing in VA. We like to tour some of the old plantations and there are I think several in that area. They usually aren't too busy unless you get unlucky and get their during a school tour.
