If you're already making them, you know best whether they need to be vertical or horizontal, breakaway or what have you.

My one and only criteria is that I don't want to have to send my knife out. I'm sure someone makes these sheaths who's already got a Sifu?!?! Thanks to all in advance for your responses.

Professor.

I am having some custom sheaths made by Normark (AKA Eric Noeldechen) in Canada. His reviews have been splendid and so far he has been nothing but professional and very considerate of the details with my "unusual" sheaths. Give him a shout or check out his web-site.

hope it helps....

Sproles,

Thanks. I've had some excellent sheaths made by Eric before. Just wasn't sure if he had access to a Sifu. I'll send him some words. Take care!

Professor.

PS Mike Sastre made me an outstanding Carnivore vertical breakaway concealex sheath. I'll try him too.

I *designed* a Sifu sheath that's extremely easy to homebrew, or one of the pros could use the concept. There's just one so far (on my belt as I speak) but I just haven't had time to do more. I've got pics and a full description here:

This rig is FAST as hell

and if you take the knife off and pocket it at work, teh sheath is so small it doesn't look like anything the sheeple even notice so you can just leave it there.

It's just a single long strip of kydex that you hot-mold, and then drill/cut as needed once cool. Possibly the simplest sheath design ever.

I eyed that rig when you originally posted it, Jim. When you get into mass production, let me know!

Eric, let us know when you've got one too. I'm reluctant to send my #24 to Canada, or to carry and use the dag thing for that matter.

Jim, how's your Sifu holding up for daily carry? You got #1 didn't you? Thanks.

Professor.

Hey Proff...

Understandable...
Will let you know when I get things going..

Prof, I've got #1 and it's been *true* daily carry since. We're talking "at least 28 out of 30 days" per month, usually more.

It's holding up great. There isn't a hint of blade rub against the liners despite my big butt sitting on it repeatedly. I took it totally apart a few days after I got it (purely out of curiousity) and it worked great both before and after "elective surgery".

Awesome.

Jim
