Anybody own a Benchmade 551?

I like my 550 so much I'm strongly considering also getting the weehawk (drop point?) version 551 in the future. Are these out yet, and has anybody bought/used one? How does the edge geometry compare with that on the 550? (I like the thin, slicing edge on my 550). How do the 551's thumb studs compare with the 550's oval hole opener?

I don't own either; I was waiting for the drop-point model and then I found out that they replaced the opening hole with thumbstuds :barf:. Now I don't know if I'll get either one, but if I do, it'll be the original.

I am seriously considering a 551. I would like to hear from people that have them.

I have a 551 - easy to open w/ thumb studs. Blade has a nice edge & a very sharp point. really nice knife for the money.

Jim, I have both and really like them. The 550 is a pre-pro and stays in the drawer -- the 551 is a really nice user as Flotsam indicated. I'm seriously thinking of getting the new 555 Mini-grip.
