hi,

Is the gerber diesel for sale, and how is it?

An improvement over the others:

-better build quality?
-nicer finish
-stronger?
-handy?
-bigger?

greets,

Mike

I've been on the look-out but haven't seen one yet. I call this Gerbers Wave. I already have a bunch of Gerbers and only wanted to see this one close up. If you find one, do a review here for the rest of us :)

hey guys, i am not impressed by the gerber's pliers, i found at least too huge drawback:

the plastic lock!why gerber keep using plastic as the lock on their multi-tools??cheap and weak!!btw,i dunno wht about the locking mechansim is also plastic or not. :barf:

it's stupid to see that the tips of the pliers is still pointed out when the tool is closed....this totally destroy the unique design of a sliding pliers.....look weird and not even safty!!!

so,LM and VIC are still the two kings of multi-tools.

just my two cents.

I jsut got one of these diesels and really love it. My first multi tool was one of the first bottle nose multipliers that is now long gone, now I have this. It is a great tool.

I own a gerber diesel, and I am in the process of posting a review, so please be patient you won't be sorry...

Gerber is owned by Fiskars these days. If the plastic in the lock is same stuff that Fiskars uses for its outdoor cutters, I wouldnt be worried. I havent seen the tool my self.
