I'm trying to identify this knife so I can get some reference pics of the sheath. Anybody recognize it?

In most of the episodes, any of the close ups of his knife show a Busse Combat Team Gemini.

Search in the Busse Combat sub forum, and you will find lots of pics, specs etc, and even screen captures of the knife in action.

(that particular screen capture does not appear to the be same knife he normally has out, and uses. Based on the guard, and the handle, it looks almost like a Cold Steel Recon Scout? In that screen grab, it is definitely not the same knife they normally use, and do close ups of, I bet the prop guy just grabbed it for the scene, which happens all the time with guns, knives etc on shows. (my favorite "oops" is on planet of the apes, when the laser gun turns into a Baretta 92 in one scene!).

Here is a thread with a screen capture a part way down the page, and some short clips.

here is one screen grab from that thread.

I know he uses a Team Gemini. I have one on order. I'm looking for good shots of the sheath he uses. It is obvious it was not made for a Team Gemini. I found this shot with this knife and it appears to fit the sheath a lot better. I can only assume that this was the knife meant to go in the sheath. That is why I wanted to know if anyone knew that this particular knife was so I could find some reference pics for the sheath.

Because it is for a Daryl Dixon costume. I ordered a Combat Master sheath for the actual knife. This sheath will be for a rubber resin "stunt" copy I'm going to make that I will be able to safely carry around conventions and such.

No ideas? Grey handled bowie with a brass guard. Anyone?

I'm going to go with generic rubber knife with a duct taped handle... Look closely. ;) I believe that its's either a pure prop knife, or someone ran to Toys R Us to look for one. :D

IIRC, the scene calls for him to sling a zombie on T-dog and then roll and/or slither under a vehicle. It would be a safe assumption that a Team Gemini between the pavement and his hip would hurt like hell take after take, after take...so I could see them using not only something softer, but something that would bend with him. From a distance the gray of the tape would look closer to the handle of his Team G than black.

Just a guess anyway. :)

That could very well be a possibility. The closest I have been able to find is a Gerber bowie but I don't think it is. Looks like I'll be making the sheath myself.
