I have a knive with a partially serrated blade(poorly done) and would like to get it reground w/o the serrations. The serrations extend approx. 1/8" up on the blade from the edge. Does anyone know who might do this work? Thanks, Bruce

Don't know what kind of knife you have. Taking an 1/8" off is a lot of wearing down of the blade. I suggest you sharpen the whole blade on a normal stone each time it needs sharpened. The teeth will slowly go away over many sharpenings.

You can grind the blade off yourself. Take one complete pass and dip in water. Take a complete pass off the other side and dip in water. That way the blade will not get hot and mess up the heat treatment.

Well...I took off serations from a SOG Pentagon before with a course sharpening stone...took me about 4 days.......

Four (4) days??? Seems easier to work at a paying job four days and buy a new knife with your salary.
