Anybody seen a 3-knife Buck kitchen set in a hangable tray?

The little knife is a 107 Scout, the middle and large ones are scaled-up Scouts, that is they're the same shape. Nothing resembling a chef knife. So maybe before Julia Child told everybody they needed a chef knife?
I'm assuming they were meant as kitchen knives because they're in a wooden tray and they have no sheathes.

The guy who owns them will be unreachable for a week and a half, so I can't get pictures till then.

That is the Empress Trio model 200. And it's the other way around with the 107 Scout. It was modeled after the Empress Trio paring knife.
As this kitchen set came out Years before the Scout. And a as you call a (Chef knife) which is actually a French Sabatier style blade. No this set
does not have that pattern. Later sets do... This set contains a 9" breaking/ carving blade, a 6" boning blade and a 4" paring blade. With micarta handles, stainless guard and 440C steel blade. All nest in a walnut holder, a first class kitchen set. DM

Dave is spot on. I picked up a badly abused paring knife from one of those sets a while ago and have been looking to pick up a full set in better condition since. I believe they where made in black and burgundy micarta.

I use mine weekly too. A Sabatier is a good pattern to use on veggies but not on meat items. It is popular but the carver/ breaking blade is not offered in kitchen sets today. Especially not a 9". That blade is sold separately. That size carver and the 6" boning blade I couldn't live without. It's a good size to fillet fish, cut up a large chicken, trim a brisket, ect.. The 9" will work as a fruit knife on large melons, pumpkin carving and such. They are high quality kitchen knives. DM

Thanks, guys. I'm sure they're fine knives, being Bucks.
Maybe my boss will let me borrow one of the scouts (he got one in a sheath from the same guy). I can't imagine that shape as a parer, so I'd better find a way to try it.
