Anybody seen one of these?

cool little blade with the firesteel included. says imported-tho i couldnt see anything about origin on blade. from the price china? maybe japan? not a fan of ss but it will do

Not bad looking...interesting sheath design, functional looking balde design. I question the comfort of the handle, and they don't give any specs.

Meh, I think I'd rather just pic up a Mora #510 and ranger band a firesteel to the sheath. It'll be cheaper, probably lighter, and I know you are getting a good blade/steel.

Or, like has been mentioned, spend a tiny bit more and get a proven knife...

wrote directly to the company and they responded very quickly-ya gotta like that

"We design the knife and sheath here in Colorado, and we have it manufactured in China - the firesteel is made in Sweden."

I got one recently and really like it. I first saw an ad for Dajo in Backpacker and checked out the site. Liked the bags and gear, looked at the knives and said "...eh". Didn't think about it again.
Was at REI a few weeks ago, and saw the survivor. Then looked at it again. Took it out of the case and liked what I saw. I've spent more for worse knives so picked it up and brought it home to play with. Cut through dozens of cardboard boxes, a weekends worth of kitchen chores for peeling veggies, fruit, cutting steak and chicken, made some marshmallow sticks and even batoned it through some pepper tree that I was drying in the back. That it didn't like so much, but it did it. Small blade after all.
Still sharp when I finished and maybe 50 strokes on a stone to get it to shave arm hair.
Sheath is OK, not great. Both attachment points are velcro and I CAN pull it off of my belt with a stiff tug. I think I will stich the top loop closed to fix this problem. Firesteel is good, but I like my BSA hotspark better. Going to replace the whistle with a tinder straw.

Like tknife said, probably going to keep it at the bottom of my pack for when I go out with my sons scout troop. In this regard it will replace my F1 so that should show how much I think of this knife.

I picked one up recently just because it's not too expensive and I wanted to see what it was all about. I'd classify this knive/combo package, as a "TIFWIW" (Take it for what it's worth) package. Not that it wouldn't perform under strenuous circumstances but it's not the most robust knife I've seen.

Now - I haven't used it in practical situations yet, but here's my observations having one in hand.

The knife is ultra light, which is great for just throwing it in your pack/bag and not noticing any extra weight. How the skeletonized blade performs under stress would be curious to me. I can see it performing light to medium tasks with ease, but get into any heavy tasks and you might be better off with a more robust knife. but again, it seems like a tradeoff of light construction vs. strength. The G10 scales are actually quite nice considering the skeletonized nature of the handle/knife. Good grip and size for my hands (I'd consider that I have normal man size hands - gloves are L or XL), and it is well balanced, just feels good in the hand.

As for the sheath, yes it's not the strongest constructed nylon sheath, with velcro as the primary means of holding the sheath to a belt. The velcro retention strap to hold the knife in the sheath leaves something to be desired, it is a flimsy part and it is only the velcro holding, no button, and after about 20-30 removal/replacements of the knife it seems to be losing it's "velcro catching ability". The pouch with the firesteel and whistle is a nice touch. The firesteel is the Swedish LMF Firesteel Mini, so it's small, but in a pinch I'm sure it would be fine and there is a notch in the back of the knife that fits the mini firesteel perfectly. The whistle is a whistle, loud, but small so high pitch - would obviously be better than yelling for any length of time.

Overall it's a nice little package but I wouldn't take it camping as my primary knife/firestarter/survival knife, although if you're a climber and weight is a top priority it's not a bad choice.

I also found some Youtube video reviews that are pretty comprehensive so here's the links:
