About 10-15 years ago I got into smoking cigars with a couple of friends. I think it was kind of a fad back then. It was kind of fun, but as folks moved away I just stopped. (My tobacco abuse of choice is skoal long cut. I quit 3 years ago, and have had an occasional dip since). I remembered it as enjoyable, but the taste in the mouth the next day was rank. I had a cigar recently and didn't like it at all. Mainly for the aftertaste and the smell of my clothes.

Does anyone still smoke cigars? And what do you like? I also like the smell of pipe smoke, but I don't like actually smoking a pipe.

I used to smoke cubans here where i live.......but don't smoke cigar no more.

Maybe you shall burn some pipe smoke like it's incense. :D

I still smoke cigars once in awhile.
My taste runs toward Nicaraguans, mostly.
Padrons and CAO's

One of the best bargains going right now is the Rocky Patel line of
cigars, particullarly the Sun Growns.

I smoke one or two a year. Usually with my father in law. I have a humidor full that were given to me by a guy I made a humidor for. I made maybe eight humidors one summer and kept my favorite. Its jatoba and beautiful. Also made my wife a jewelery box at the same time. The smoke really kicks my breathing troubles into high gear, so I don't do it often anymore.

My FIL and I will smoke a good cigar from time to time. He always picks them out so i have no idea what they are, but they're smooth. Kind of a neat way for us to bond a bit. Every so often when my best buddy makes it into town we'll head over to a little coffee/tobacco shop and grab a deep dark cup o' joe and try to each pick out a cigar to enjoy. Usually, we pick the roughest smokin' suckers they have. We are complete idiots to cigars. However, it's a fun chance to catch up on life sitting out on the patio drinking our coffee and hacking to death on $12 rolled up pinecones.
It's a lot of fun.

Yeah, that's what I liked best about it. Sitting around shooting the bull, smoking a cigar, drinking a beer. You're not just lazy, your smoking a cigar! I tell people I admire smokers because they've always got something to do. What' cha doing? "having a smoke"

Substitute a nice cup of real good coffee for that beer, and you got it nailed.
Particuarly after a fine BBQ meal.

Steely?

Try macanudos next time you visit. Smooth and usually not that expensive.

(I THINK that's how it is spelled.)

Short Stories for me...and a few pipes. I used to be a Board Member (and webmaster) for NASPC.
