Anybody take the torsion bar out of their Knockout??

I am really intrigued by this knife and love the overall shape and function of it.Problem is I'm just not a fan of A/O knives.

Has anybody taken the torsion bar out of theirs? Is there still a nice detent or was the bar what held the blade closed?

I know some Kershaws work well without it and some don't...

There was a thread just last week where someone mentioned that they had taken the torsion bar out of their Knockout. Apparently it has no detent.

I took mine out there was detent after so I put it back in btw i was the one in the thread they are talking about
