It was a Remake. I thought it was good and had the spirit of the original. I also like the fact they have the original playing on demand.

The production values were high. I also thought Hayley Atwell is quite the looker. When I did a IMDB search I find she is going to be in another mini series based on an awesome book: Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follet.

ANybody else watch?

Is this based on that 60's TV series starring Patrick McGoohan...where a giant ball rolls through the set occasionally?

Yeah. That ball used to freak me out when I was a kid and I would watch it with my Dad.
As I recall, it was a spinoff of Secret Agent. The agent decided to leave the service and they sent him there for reprogramming or whatever they did.

I watched the first 2 hours and lost interest. Just didn't connect with me for some reason.

Perhaps I was spoiled by the original, but I too lost interest by the end of the first episode. The main star is no Patrick McGoohan, and the writing and pace of the thing was a little too dragging for me.

But then, I've always been disappointed by remakes.

 That's right, I was a little older than you, I liked both of those.

OT but same time period, who liked The Avengers with Diana Rigg?

On the new, The Prisoner. I didn't last 5 minutes into this show.

Funny because I used to watch the Old Show back in the day.
It was strange then and it is strange now.

I'm just glad that this show has had no lasting effect on my Mind. 555 :D

I am not a number!:D

I just finished watching the original's last episode. That was really poor. I remember liking it as a kid. It was too surreal. All the other episodes were excellent but the last a dissapointment. I was reading Patrick had to go into hiding for a several months after it realease. Many a fan wanted an explanation.

Sorry to hear the dissapointment with the new Prisoner. But I'm a sucker for these kind of shows. I wish they would have kept Nowhere Man going.
