Just wondering if there was any hope of more 710s in that steel

It has seemed like those exclusives by KW have only lasted a year, and that one happened in 2012. Can't say never, but there hasn't been anything about it that I've heard.

With the Gold Class 710 just coming out, I don't think it will happen any time soon, if it does at all. I have noticed Benchmade generally does not release new or updated Blue or Black class models concurrently with their Gold Class ones (same goes for many others makers).

I wish they would and even more so wish they would make the CPM-M4 models a standard production run given M4's toughness on that sort of a knife is a big plus over most other steel options. The crazy secondary market prices for the M2HS, M390, and M4 models show there is a pretty big user-demand for upgraded steel options on the 710, and I am really impressed how much of a performance gain my 707 in M390 is over my 707 in D2 or 154CM.

I got an M390 710 on the secondary market. The price was worth it. I do wish they'd put out another M390 or M4 run as well because I'd like to have a backup.

I would love a new 710 in M390 (or S90V). Even though the new Gold Class 710-141 has Twist Damasteel instead of the previously mentioned steels , I may still pick one up because it's a unique 710.

I've got 2. :D
One limited edition with the markings on the blade (my user) and one newer model with no markings on the blade (NIB).

Yeah I recall them having at least two runs of this. Would like to see another run so I can get my backup.

The more recent one, I thought was standard production and was naive to the fact that it was a limited run. I only purchased one, had I known I would have gotten two. It just pisses me off that I had months and months seeing them in stock and I didn't buy another. I can't get myself to use mine until I get a backup! My D2 version will do till then.

... Then the M4 version came but i passed because it was coated. Regretting passing on that also now because M4 is so ideal but I cant stand coated blades.

I tried to get my hands on the last gold class 710. Just wasnt in the cards. I do
like the new gold class 710, but really would have preferred M390 or M4.

There was one on the Exchange the other day. Think it lasted about 20 minutes or so. If my checking account had been in better shape at the time...

I too like BKC in M390. I like CPM-M4 as well and it is very good steel, but with corrosion resistance factor in mind, I would prefer M390 / S110V.
