I have experience with Cerakote on my handguns. I am curious how well it holds up on a knife blade?? I am really liking the look of the green Cerakoted Horsman. Most all of my Emersons are SW and they are beautiful but that all OD green Cerakote looks great like some Kermit the frog evil weapon.

I'd like to hear reports also.
I have a small fixed blade that I'd like to get coated.

I've used a couple pretty good. While it's not on the level of DLC, it's certainly better than what they coat cheaper knives with. If your cutting or stabbing into other metals, it'll scratch it off, but with 'normal' things it won't really scratch down to the blade. On the super cqc7 in the pic, it was used to stab through and cut thin metal..
On the patriot i, was used to scrape off stuff on rough concrete, helped pry a gutter off a building for work, also cut a little bit of thin metal, pried some wood off a deck, an cut other various things.

Hope that helps!

So is the green Cerakote the same finish as the standard black finish?? I have a black CQC11 and DRH that has held up rather well over the years but I haven't really punished them like the Emersons with the SW finish. Since the stonewash was introduced most of my Emersons have been in them. I beat the hell out of a CQC7V in SW and it still looked new so I am partial to the SW durability. Love that OD green though.

I would assume the od green coating would have the same durability, just look different with wear than black. I don't own an od knife so hopefully someone can say about that

My EDC Emerson is coated black. The coating has worn evenly in most areas that see regular contact with whatever's being cut. There are a few chips from dropping the knife, always on a corner somewhere, but in time it wears smooth around the chip and they're hardly noticeable.

The first nicks look the worst, after that coated Emersons just look better the more worn the finish is.
