They are nice looking custom fixed blade hunter style knives. Etched on the hollow ground blades it says "Made in Argentina". The one I liked was a 4" with stag handles ($175). I can't remember the steel maybe 440 or similar. They claim to be made of Argentina's best steel. They were marketed as custom knives and definitley had that look, but the "made in..." made me wonder. I tried a search both here and on the web with no results. Has anyone seen these before?

For what is worth, I remember a very experienced local knifemaker named M. Alvarez, maybe is something like Mr. Emerson and EKI
Long shot, but maybe it helps :)

What was the "Made in Argentina" wonder about? *wondering myself*

PS: if ya have a pic, drop me an email with it :)

I saw this makers knives on ebay. Very good looking knives. I really thought about getting one with a 6" blade he was offering. Steel was 420. Even though I still buy 420 knives on occasion I wont pay as much as he was asking for that steel.
