Anyone batton with a serrated spine?

I imagine it would chew the wood used to batton pretty good. Anyone with experience?

Gonna be hell on your batton, but if you have a few to spare give it a go. She'll take it. You can always use the chunks off the batton for kindling.

I use a dead blow hammer to baton with, so I wouldn't want to use it on a blade with a swedged or a serrated spine.

I didn't think about that. I have no worries about the blade holding up, just the poor batton. I'd prolly batton a whole bunch of wood and make some fuzz sticks with all that chewed up wood layin around and not even use it.:o
