I picked up a Code 4 about three weeks ago, and I'm biased in favor of it, because I'm a Demko fanboy.
I have used it on tape, cardboard, plastic bags, and a couple apples, which meant there were a couple trips through soap and water, in between those jobs!
My opinion of the anodizing is that it gives slightly better traction than a wood or polished handle. Perfectly adequate for everyday, even wet from a washing, and I like the subdued finish.
Lockup is excellent! Rock solid, just as you would expect. The blade came with a satin polish, and a very sharp, slightly toothy edge. It zipped through a pile of corrugated cardboard boxes without ever slowing down. The handle is wide enough from spine to choil to give good control, even though the knife is surprisingly thin for it's size.
The end of the pocket clip on mine is bent in, making it very hard to clip the knife on my pocket, but once it's there, it doesn't go anywhere! Say anything you want about Cold Steel, they make some of the most jump-proof pocket clips on the market.
The Triad-lock has a learning curve to it. It is hard to unlock so you can fold the knife back up, but in my opinion, it's worth it for what you get. The lock also holds the blade closed with equal force, so there's no way it's coming open in your pocket.
Besides the pocket clip (mine came with a replacement, and I can probably bend the first one out), my only minor problem is that the lockbar pin is a hair too short, and it rattles back and forth sometimes. It's nothing that will affect the function or the lifespan of the knife, just something I noticed because I'm picky.
