I just bought this piece the other night while waiting for the ball to drop. I was wondering if anyone had this knife or could comment on Emerson's quality in general. This will be my first Emerson and I have heard alot of good thigns about this company. I just hope they arent like Microtech and screw their customers when it comes to CS... Also, are the locks generally pretty tight on Emerson blades?

Here is a link of the knife.

I have both the Bullnose and curved Karambits (both standard size and super size). Yes, they do come tight from the factory, and they need some break-in time to loosen up.

I love the handle! It has huge advantages for an SD knife. I actually bought the Bullnose originally because I thought the curved blade was just some kind of gimmick. Boy was I wrong! Now that I have the curved ones, they are my EDC knives and I'll probably give the Bullnose to my son.

No quality control problems whatsoever....

Glad to hear! I am looking forward to getting mine in the mail :)

I have this knife as well. I do love it and was my edc for almost a year. It still gets a lot of pocket time but is on rotation with a couple others. Great size, has got a lot of use and held up well. No trouble with the liner. Great buy, I love the blade shape. I have heard emerson's CS is top notch, but have never had to use it on any of my emersons. It did come to me a little tight but loosened up with use. Over time, the main pivit screw started to come a little loose. But I dont consider this a problem at all. I can retighten it with my thumnail as it is set up for a flathead screwdriver. All I would have to do to stop it in the future is put some loctite in there, but it is so easy to tighten that I dont let it get loose.

I have a Combat Karambit, and a CQC-7 Karambit. Both are high quality knives. They will fit small to medium hands best.

I have returned one knife to Emerson for service, it was quickly fixed and returned to me. Customer service in in the upper tier of knife companies.

Quality will not be an issue and virtually never is with EKI. The commander kerambit is the only one of the kerambit range i sold on, it was not a bad piece it just didnt do it for me at the end of the day.
i hope its the first of many EKIs for you, enjoy
