I finally got one, and I'm really liking the look and feel of it.

I'd like to carry it on occasion, but I'm really not liking the factory sheath - especially the velcro. I'm not a fan of velcro in the first place, plus mine is all worn out and doesn't stick well.

Does anyone carry these? What type of sheath do you use? Seems like a leather slip sheath might not work as well for this model, compared to a standard 110. Thoughts?

I know that some will say I shouldn't carry it, but it isn't mint, I have no box, and I'm not planning to be rough on it anyway.

Thanks!

I have two of these, but haven't carried them. I did just compare it to a 110 lightweight Slim Select and they very close in size. I believe the 560 will fit into any 110 sized case/pouch/sheath.

I did try it in some leather 110 sheaths, and it seems to fit ok, just a bit floppy. Another issue I had was the point on the handle, above the pivot, wanted to catch on the edge of the sheath when drawing. Maybe it's just my technique.

Eta: my nylon 110LT sheath fits it nicely. But it still hangs up when drawing.

I would contact Gary W. Graley Gary W. Graley and see about him making a belt sheath sheath. Either a flap or open top.
He does excellent work.
This is an open top he made for me...

Is buck dropping the nylon sheath for the 112 and 110?
Do you mean these nice little sheaths with a snap closure? I sure hope they aren’t dropping them.

I think I have three of these sheaths that are brand new but I would still be disappointed if Buck dropped these. It can be hard to find a good quality nylon sheath with a snap closure. The vast majority of them are Velcro.

You could try carrying tip down in the sheath. It’s a bit awkward at first if you don’t already carry that way but it grew on me pretty quick and now I prefer tip down when I use a sheath.

I am used to carrying tip up, just feels natural to me. I might play with the other way for a while, thanks for the suggestion.

And thanks, everyone for your input so far. I need to pick up a few of those nylon sheaths anyway, they're very handy.

I'll do that. Thanks for the suggestion. I prefer slip (open top) sheaths for most of my carry knives, just wasn't sure how well it would work with a pointy finger-grooved model.

the sharper angled front bolster shape catches kinda in the actual 560 sheaths I have. not horribly but not a smooth draw like a standard 110.

I'd have Gary make one and ask if he can make it where it doesn't catch as easily.....

Thanks guys for the referrals, he reached out but as some of you surmised that particular knife is probably not a good candidate for the type of sheaths that I make and I didn’t want to trouble him to send it only to find that it’s not going to work very well.

I just put pocket clips on them. The tapped holes are #2X56TPI. The blade pivot rivet is replaced with a 1/8” diameter threaded barrel with a #2X56TPI screw at each end so that the pocket clip screw holes are through holes.

Seems that a nylon sheath with snap closure is the way to go. My Dad has a 110LT sheath that he isn't using, he prefers pocket carry. So I'll probably go with that, for now. And I'll try Railsplitter Railsplitter 's suggestion to carry tip down, and see how that works. I really appreciate the feedback from everyone, and I'm still open to suggestions.
