Anyone change the clip on a Viper Keeper?

I picked up a Viper Keeper on the exchange the other day and I'm really liking this knife. It feels great in the hand and is smooth as glass to open. Flips open like a dream. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the clip. It works, but it's just not very rigid and makes extraction from the pocket a little awkward. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, what did you do about it? I'm wondering if I could drill and tap some holes in it to use a standard 3-screw clip. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
