Anyone Chasing any Custom?

Boy,. . . . . . we got this Production thing getting ready to take off. . . And we got this mini project thing working in several parts of the country. We're talking mini this, maxi that. IT'S GREAT! BUT:

Is anyone chasing down any customs? The supply of these things has kind of dried up lately. I know Dave Ellis has a new CQC6, and a Damascus, MOP CQC6 for sale, but you know it seems that no one is turning anything else up.

Personally I'm on the hunt! I've located three Pre-Tacticalls and some negioations are underway - and I'm at a stalemate. Seems the price somewhat higher than I'm willing to pay. - Ok, a lot higher than I'm willing to pay. Anyone else got anything going?

How fast you want to go depends on how much money you have to spend.

Looking for a CQC8 (contoured handles) or CQC5 but no leads yet!

(I know I'm a little late on the e-mail reply but the kids been driving me crazy!)

Paragon Sports in NY has a (2) CQC6's. One 2000, satin finished blade, full file work but has a secondary bevel on the edge. $1,200. A full dress 6. Price $4,000.

Funny thing is that I e-mailed Paragon if they could do better on the price of the regular 6. Their answer was short, sweet & obnoxious: "We don't negoiate prices on custom knives."

Funny, they were giving 20% off on the Emersons at the NY show without me even asking. Maybe that's why they've had the FD 6 for almost a year now.

But then again Marc got his MV1 there for only $1,000.

I will be looking for a custom CQC7.

I am ready to buy my first custom. I am interested in a CQC6. I would appreaciate any contacts that might supply one of these beauties.

I have one thing in my sights, if Ernie starts making Customs again, I will order two of them probably. The infamous ES1M.

If he does not start making Customs again, I doubt I will ever be able to pay for one, unless I hit the Lottery. That's just the way things are.

Hunt? Well I wouldn't say "Hunt".

I am waiting patiently for a nice CQC8, preferably waved.

Plus I am waiting patiently for an ES1-C to come up. (Hey, a guy can hope) It would fill a small gap in my "Commander" Collection.

CQC5 if i can get one at a reasonable price. Want a single bevel spec war 6 maybe a dress 6 but would rather get a Rolex or a nice evil preban black gun in .308.

I am waiting for my ES1-M from Emerson. The prices on the after market for me bear no relationship to value so I do not buy on the aftermarket.

I'm waiting on my 8 and 6, but I just ordered them in 99. I hope to have them by 2005

LOL I'm with Robert. I'd LOVE a single bevel "6" or "7"... It's funny - I had about $2,000 burning a hole in my pocket a couple of weeks ago, and was just itching for an excuse to blow it on one, but all of these bills popped up out of the blue... I took it as a sign.

Looking for a CQC-5 and CQC-8 for the gf! Anybody have any leads or interesting in selling?

I noticed one of you 'Usual Suspects' mentioned Swenson .45's. The evolution of the Swenson .45 is the Jardine Custom .45. Jardine is not only a great gunsmith but also an honest and friendly guy. Swenson being his Uncle ...
