Topic, but I don't see pictures of it yet in videos everyone is commenting about Sal Glesser having the new bowie on him and it was in a frog sheath. When you google the knife (it's called a respect) and sheath you see a pretty regular sheath and nothing with a frog on it.

Go to the General Knife Forum, the SHOT Show 2018 link and towards the end is an interview with Eric Glesser and he discussed the Respect sheath and how Sal uses it. John

Oh I have never heard of a brass button called a frog but ok. Thanks for this. I googled and found the sheath and it just looked normal.

Never heard of that called a Frog Stud either.

A frog is a part that attaches to your belt and carries a sheath.

The stud is a Sam Browne stud.

Legends tell of how the Bowie knife originally looked, and many many people speculated the manufacture due to the designs at the time. He was bad ass as anyone could be a got shot yet still stabbed some dudes on loose footing. Not to mention stabbed some jerks trying to get him with sword canes. I sure thank the lord we don't live in those times as blade combat is assured mutually assured destruction and cruel.
BUT ANYWAY
Is there lore surrounding his sheath? You think it looks like this or did he just keep it in his belt/pants?

I saw the videos that had been recorded at SHOT, and yes, very much noticed that the Respect would be shipped with a sheath having a stud. The stud makes possible the use of a frog, but the important part is that the stud allows carrying the sheath very comfortably under a belt. I wish this stud was an option on far more knife sheaths.

Unless the cost is unreasonable, I will be ordering a Respect Bowie in a few weeks.

Go to Youtube, and search for Bill Bagwell and Mike Sastre. If I recall correctly, both explain this type of sheath, and its carry.
