Just curious, does anyone else like to collect these guys? I've got about 10 different Leatherman's in my collection.

Hi,

Glad to hear you are a collector of Leatherman tools. I've got about 80 of the tools, 10 of the knives and both pruners. There are lots of variations available that make collecting a challenge and fun. For example, if you look at the Juice lne, you will find the plier head marked LEATHERMAN & USA, LEATHERMAN & TOOL or just LEATHERMAN. There are four Juice models (two S2 & two Kf4) produced in green or brown camo for the Australian market as well as three uncataloged SC2 Juice models (Blue, Inferno or Silver) produced for Sam's Club and the Juice Pro produced for Costco.

If you have any questions, drop me an email.

Best - Joe

I see some pics of the SC2 Juice and they look like the CS4, can you tell me what the difference is?
Much appreciated

It's a tad thinner, because it has one less "layer", namely the wood saw.

It's my favorite Juice, and works well for a night on the town. I've opened dozens of bottles of wine with mine, and of course the knife blade, scissors and drivers come in handy, and it's nice having all that in a small, light, sheeple-friendly package.

Since ten years ago after discovered the marque, I have bought dozens, most of them as gifts. There are presently 5 in my EDC rotation:

Super Tool 200
PST
Juice CS4
Squirt P4
Micra

well...maybe a couple of extas in reserve. ;)

Although I started out with SAKs and still own a few, there is something about Leatherman products that appeals to me beyond their capabilities. Our personalities seem to mesh, and I can't explain other than that.

My wife, OTOH, owns a Vic and carries it everywhere in her purse. Often, however, she doesn't bring the purse, so I get to carry for us both. Oddly, my wife dislikes Leathermen so much that whenever we are out/about and she needs the use of some multitool implement, if all I have with me is one of my LTs, she will go without rather than use it. However, if I am carrying a SAK, she's good with that, actually likes them a lot (the scissors are her favorite toenail clippers of any we have).

It is doubtful this is a guy/girl thing. Several women of my acquaintance own Micras or other Leatherman tools and don't seem uncomfortable with them. Sometimes I try to sound out their opinions, but like most people I know of any sex who use multitools, they care nothing about the topic.

Although I think it helpful to have a basis for evaluating one or another multitool, within a certain range of build quality and performance, there is a subjective factor to selecting one for personal use. That is, if you like it, stop thinking and put it in your pocket. :)

I must confess, I don't have any camo Juices in my collection either.:(

I scammed those pictures off the Australian Leatherman site a couple of years ago, when these tools were readily available. I always intended on buying the camo tools, but at the time, my old rusty trusty pick-up truck needed a new set of tires.

The old tires weren't that bad really. They only had about 90,000 miles on them, and the various bulges and tumors around the sidewalls were probably maybe unlikely to burst soon. New tires, or new camo multitools? The choice was simple.

But my meddling wife intervened, and we got the tires.:grumpy:
I haven't seen one of these Juices available since.
