Anyone customize a 581 or 586 barrage with 2 piece scales ?

I have a 586 on the way, I was thinking about stripping and having the front aluminum portion anodized a darker color, gun metal grey, black or blue, then replacing the g10 portion with blue or regular Carbon fiber. I found a great example with snakewood scale where the g10 was, and some nice looking file work. Also the Warriors and wonders special edition appears to be light blue anodizing on the aluminum. Anyone here have anything similar to share?

I thought the same when I got my 581.....gorgeous knife......but it needed something!!
I had Steve Ketchen make a set of red ctek scales with white linersfor mine. I'm also thinking of getting the bolsters anodized.
Steve just finished the scales on my 586!! On its way home now. He made these the reverse of the 581.......white ctek with red liners!!
Can't get here soon enough!!
If you're thinking of customs....check Steve out! Pleasure to deal with him!!

Hey, thanks for the sharing and the tip! Gorgeous work for sure. Love the look of the ctek. I would love to incorporate it into a grip, similar to the gold class, but about many $100's cheaper. If you don't want to post the cost details, can you shoot me a PM?
 
Not to steal your thunder, but I think Steve just posted your knife! You have great taste and he has great skills! Those look as good as benchmades gold class, and far batter then the 1 piece scale versions. I'd like to do a black blade, all dark version, black ctek?.

I've been thinking about a couple different color schemes:

1) black anodized front scale, orange and black g10 rear scales - ultimately I could start with a custom from Benchmade to get the black liners, or I see cabelas versions were sold with black liners if I could find one.

2) Timascus front bolster with blue carbon fiber rear scales, would be a knock out for sure and I bet cheaper than a gold class
