I think I'm going to put one on my LE when it gets back from Semper Paratus. Just wondering if anyone guarded their's yet. Post pics if you got 'em.

First thing I did, works real well. I've D guarded with 3 styles of know to see what works best. Will post pics tomorrow.

I made a leather D guard with copper rivets, attaches with chicago screws. I am making a couple now...one has 1/2 inch spikes, the other 1 inch spikes (so far 7 spikes fit on the D guard). Just got a new camera/computer, so I hope to have pics up tomorrow.

you mean like this or like a solid dguard?

Mine is a solid D guard (two leather pieces) sewn together with rivets/spikes between the layers. The ends are wet molded. It does require a little grinding on the handle near the talon holes to make room for the heads of the chicago screws (took me ten min. with a dremel). Looks wicked! :)

Looks good! Now make one with real spikes! Are those rivet tubes?

This is my 3rd D-guard, I used a square knot for a change.

The sheath is a standard issue British Army bayonet frog. Costs about $8. I got my BMs, HR and my ASH all riding in them.

Can we see the back of that sheath? Where do you get these?

I got the sheaths on ebay uk, if you or anyone else want one and have trouble getting one PM me and i'll buy it for you and ship it over.

Here's the back view of the ASH and my HR in a sheath with a piece of bungee cord taped up and used as an additional securing strap. The back opens in 2 places to give you a choice of how low you want it to sit. The black Ts you can see are designed to go into slots on a British Army webbing belt, this locks the sheath in super secure. Or you can just get a female piece for the big clip at the top and have that on your belt, or pack, so you can clip and unclip the sheath at will. The FFBM is a bit of a tight fit but it never falls out when i'm walking so i'm happy with it for now.
