Hey guys, I am thinking about getting a scale made for the non lock side of my stainless leek, but I don't know how good the detent is. Has anyone removed the torsion bar on their leek

Yes. It doesn't really flip well at all in my experience. However it is still quite easy to flick open with the thumb studs. I don't remember if it has a detent hole though.

It does not have a detent hole. So the blade is not held closed and, depending on the clip location, the knife is very likely to open in your pocket. Thumb stud only, no flipper because of the lack of detent. In general, I would not recommend it because the lack of detent makes it borderline unsafe to have in the pocket. I would keep the safety on at all times to keep the blade from opening.
