I just horse traded into a Traxxas T-maxx that has had about $1000 worth of custom work done. Big block (OS 21 RGX), Ti chassis and skid plates, aluminum diffs and lots more. Truck has had 6 tanks of fuel (not even a half gallon) run through the motor and in the last two I have stripped two spur gears and destroyed the tranny. Good thing parts are cheap, and I did a forward only conversion on the tranny (strengthens it to hold roughly 2.5hp). The truck hits about 55mph+ and will throw a roost 5ft+ high of dirt when it gets going. Waaaaaay too much fun! I'll post some action shots in the next day or so as I am doing cleaning/maint. at the moment.

dude I hope you don't drive it without an air filter. (If so you will need to replace the piston and sleve or the whole motor).

Ya, I race 1/8 scale buggys.

No no...hence the *down for cleaning and maint.* part. I'm cleaning, re-tightening everything and the air cleaner happened to be off when I took the pics (drying right now). What vehicle do you run? I'm looking at maybe getting a buggy or stadium truck vs this one for the driving I do. This one is a little too tall for high speed cornering, lots of roll in the body and often lifts the front inside tire in the turns. Good thing about the soft suspension is that it keeps the front end on the ground when I gas it. It had heavy oil in the shocks when I got it and I couldn't get the front down most of the time.

I do some on-road farting around with two Serpent cars - Impact and Impulse. It is a SCREAM! I wouldn't mind getting into off-road stuff but it is really dirty and it is high maintenance.
