Anyone ever ground down, even a little, or rounded off the sharp tang corner edge that sticks out on a closed Para 1?

Even a little seems like it would help it to not catch on things.

Not sure if it would be detrimental to the lock-up or not?

If it's a flat tang all the way across maybe it would still have enough flat surface to lock solidly? I dont have mine in front of me to look at it.

Thoughts?

Believe at least one person did that a while back, may have been David Lowry.

The one on mine is rounded. It sticks out a lot (Which is only an issue because of the tip-down only clip), but it doesn't catch on anything. I have some traditional folders with tang corners so sharp they can draw blood, but the para's not even close to being in that class.

Upon further inspection, it has a pretty high stop pin thus making it tricky to remove any tang edge without compromising the lock engagement.

I'll leave it alone.

Para 2 answers your question.

Though yes... you must buy a new knife :)

Good enough excuse right? "But honey, this one does not have an exposed tang!"

Yeah, I'm aware of the Para 2's tang fix. It's a nice improvement.

But, I just traded a 2...for a 1 in D2. Exposed tang edge aside I prefer the Para 1. Not by alot though. The 2 has some nice upgrades.

I'm sure when a digi version or maybe an orange come available I'll be going for one.
