Who else edc's multiple knives and tools ? And what do friends and family say ?
I always have 5 knives on me. my neck knife ,primary folder ,secondary folder , plus my leatherman fuse and micra with blades that I don't use.
I also carry multiple tools/ gadgets.

My brother always jokes that anyone who tries to kidnap me would be sorry, in general everyon is amused by what they'd call my batman utility belt or my pocket toolbox. ( I currently don't have quite as many items on my belt since my phone now goes in my pocket

Not so much knives, but tools. Primary folder and secondary SAK style folder, screwdriver kit, flashlight, pen, tweezers, keychain flashlight. Considering adding a full sized multitool to the mix.

My primary EDC knife, small flashlight, SOG key knife on my person.

In car, survival pack/first aid pack/flares.

I forgot to mention that the flashlight, Mac 4" adjustable, bit driver , container of bits , lip balm, zippo, and keychain type stuff all ride in the niteize pock-it's on my belt. Plus I forgot about the micro 2' tape measure in my pocket.
Eventually I want to get something like the maxpedition barnacle which will better organize stuff accessibly plus hold my wallet , notepad , and earbuds while still being compact.

My pockets are full to bursting with crap. I have on my body at all times:

Left front pocket:
Keychain one: car keys, small Swiss Army Knife, capsule/zippo-style lighter, work/house keys
Keychain two: various other keys, Leatherman PS4, bottle opener, weird little phillips screwdriver that I found somewhere
Streamlight Protac 2L

Right front pocket:
Whatever knife I'm carrying that day (today was a BM 940-1)
Phone
Sharpie
Bic lighter

Right rear pocket:
Wallet
Pencil (I do a lot of carpentry work)

Left Rear Pocket:
Spare magazine

Inside waistband, small of back:
Glock 43

People always laugh at how I have most any tool I could need in my pockets all the time. But I get stuff done!

It's basically the same way with me ( luckily my tools have made believers out of them ) if there's a screw that isn't stuck or stripped I can probably turn it.

One thing that people may not think of carrying is a magnet ( that's what the little green stick is going out of the picture )
Which I've used to fish my brothers knife out of a storm drain for example.

I've cut way down, but yes, I carry a bag-o-doom that gets the occasional comment. The other day I forgot to grab a pocket knife before leaving for work. That left only the explorer that lives in the bag-o-doom, and the skeletool thats in my work bag. so not under-bladed in any case. Its a bit of a mental illness, I carry far too much crap, but I've come up short enough times that its worth it.

My EDC carry mimics my backpacking approach.

For backpacking, I have 2 organizer pouches (more on this in a second) that carry my essentials. I move these from pack to pack depending on the trip. So long as they are in the pack, I know I have my essentials covered.

I do the same thing for EDC. I have a small organizer pouch for around town essentials.

Here it is.

I buy Outdoor Products fanny packs at *Mart stores for under $10. Careful work with a sharp knife (do you need to borrow one or what?) take the hip belts off cleanly.

For around town I add a small webbing loop to one end for easy grab and go (learn to sew - get over it) and add a mini-biner. Most of the time, this stays in my backpack/laptop bag. But, if I need to go someplace without my pack, I can just hand carry it. The biner allows me to quickly clip it to a belt loop if I'm taking a leek.

I carry a stuff next to it in one of the outer pockets: lighter, small MT, sharpener stone, ibuprofen. In another pocket, I carry all of my extra credit cards and ID cards that I only need occasionally. Inside I have band aids, sunglasses, ear phones, pen and the like.

I try hard not to go over board. If something isn't being used on a regular basis, it either gets moved to my backpack or gets dumped.

It's a pendulum swing for me. Being prepared and being stupidly overburdened. This is my current balance point.

Oh... Cell phone (has a light), Micra, Opinel and money clip with Drivers license and 2 credit cards are in my pockets. I can usually walk into a restaraunt without my pouch with out getting nervous.

My typical carry includes wallet, keys, and phone, with one of those Sebertech pliers attached to the keys, a pair of slip and snip scissors, a Fenix E01, chapstick, and a knife, usually something small for the office (Classic or Manbug, sometimes both), and maybe something a little larger on the weekends, and a bandanna. Everything is pocket carried; I don't want to carry a backpack, murse, purse, sling bag, satchel, pocket organizer, fanny pack, bum bag, messenger bag, possibles pouch, sheath, holster, etc. I don't like to have a ton of stuff on me, and I do not tend to carry What if stuff, i.e. I have carried a pill fob in the past, but I also have tylenol stashed in my car and at my desk. Duct tape is handy, but I can't tell you the last time I have needed a small piece of it for a repair that had to happen then and there. So, I carry what I know I'll use fairly regularly, plus if I'm road testing something, like the Sebertech.

I carry a variety of things-

At least one knife (fixed or folder), often one of each.

Two 1 AA LED flashlights (Klarus, Fenix), one in my jeans pocket, the other as a backup in a sheath attached to one of my motorcycle boots.

A 6" adjustable wrench ( attached to a boot)

A 6" adjustable plier (also in a sheath attached to a boot).

A Leatherman Squirt (pliers version), carried in my pocket.

A set of Wiha micro bits and driver, also attached to a boot.

Here's a pic of the Wiha set. I carry nine bits inside the handle of the driver, and I made a leather "roll" to carry more bits. The roll folds up and fits inside the mini Altoids tin.

With the exception of the backup flashlight, I use everything often enough to make it practical to carry all of it. What do friends/family/people say about the stuff I carry? They say "Thank you" when I use something I'm carrying to fix something for them or otherwise help them out of a jam.

I try ti carry what I use, and sometimes a bit more for going to work, going out to certain places, you know.
Here's my EDC.

A nice folder, usually a stockman, for doing my everyday cutting. One blade is reserved for food only, the others used as needed. Front right pocket, unless I have overalls on then it rides in the bib.

A hard use knife, for cardboard, dirty things, tough stuff, and using when a dropped knofe could be lost forever. This is usually my opinel or Mora, depending on if I'm just out and about or if im going into nature or somewhere I might need to chop some stuff apart. This is in the back right pocket if opinel, folding rule pocket if mora.

Lighter, I smoke (quitting after this pack actually, seriously, honestly) and it is useful for other stuff, helping strangers light their smokes, etc. Back right pocket.

Multitool. Either a SAK camper in the front right, if I dont expect any need for a leatherman, or a leatherman in sheath on my right hip.

Iphone goes in back left with a bandana behind it for extra protection, and padding when I sit down.

Galaxy (without cell service) goes in front left alone. It's big for a "phone" but handles everything I would need a laptop for in a much smaller package.

For work at the golf course, I keep my phones and bandana, but only carry a SAK for a knife, as sand and dirt collect in pockets and the SAK is much easier to clean. I also carry a ball mark repair tool and a few tees for cleaning club grooves in the front right with the SAK.

For carpentry work, I take my regular EDC, using only a Leatherman for a MT, and add in a Pentel GraphGear 2000 in 0.9 MM size, that rides in the bib of my overalls or shirt pocket depending on what I am wearing. I always bring along a 16' yoyo (tape measure), my 7" cats paw, my utility knife, and my finish hammer, a Vaughan 99, since it seems my dad never ever ever has basic tools reliably on the truck.
He stopped getting mad at me for bringing my own tools along after we went out to a bridge club we were renovating and I didn't bring a tape measure. I knew he didn't have any on the truck, so we had to share a folding rule for cutting trim.
"Are you glad I didn't bring any tools today?" :D.

I often have a pair of ear buds too unless I'm at work.

Finally, if I'm going out to hang with friends I bring along a charger for my iphone.

Yeah, people might comment on how much crap I carry, but they know who to come find when something needs fixing!

This is my typical carry for work. Away from work I generally drop the multitool, bit kit, pen, & notepad.

RFP - Glock 43
RRP - bandana
LRP - LM bit pouch
LFP - Pioneer or Farmer, keys, kydex wallet, & lighter
Belt - LM Surge, Case Trapper
Right cargo pocket - Some kind of notepad and pen
Left cargo pockets - spare mag and aaa light

I think that's everything.

A small addition to my previous post-

I just made this last night and will now carry it in my pocket from now on. A few times recently I had to put my 1 AA flashlight down on a smooth flat surface to illuminate the task I was performing, and I had to look around for something to prop up the head of the light to raise the beam off the flat surface the light was on. My choices at hand were not great. So I came up with this. It's just a piece of 1/4" hard rubber with a cutout.

It pops right onto the head of the light, elevates it, AND it prevents the light from rolling (which is great when I have to place it on an un-level surface), and it pops right off when I'm done. It's small, light, with no sharp edges or corners so I can carrying it around in my pants pocket without even knowing it's there.

I wish I had this years ago.

That's an awesome idea, I just love when I can make myself something to fulfill a need.
Especially when the item may get used more than any store bought one.

Thanks. I feel the same way. And I love it when something as simple as a little piece of rubber can make life that much easier. :)

I have significantly cut out what I carry on me since moving from hourly plant to management.

Used to:
Leatherman wave in overall front small.
Notebook, pen, pencil overall front big.
Benchmade AFCK clipped rfp
Keys in rfp
Tape lfrp
8" channel locks right rear
Klein multi bit screw driver in pants leg pocket.
8" Craftsman crescent with the Klein.
Cell phone in left rear
Flashlight left rear
Wallet etc locked in locker.

Now:
Kershaw leek, keys, wallet and phone.
Everything else is in my GHB in the car. Don't need anymore than that for an office job. I did just add a small flashlight to my pocket and a CRKT Neck Peck to see if I want to EDC a fixed blade.

The office is very conservative so I have to conceal anything, so nothing on my belt.
