I'm thinking about a 705 or a 707 and I'm wondering if anyone else EDC's either of these. I have a Ritter grip mini and I'm looking to get a new knife of similar size to EDC rotate with the ritter.

I have the 710 which is basically a larger version and it's a great knife.

I EDCed a 705 for more than a year. It's an excellent knife. I owned three of them at one time, ATS34, 154CM and M2 with CF handles. Sold them all a while back now.

Over time, I came to want something with a wider blade and a higher grind. Right now, I mostly switch off between a BM Vex and BM mini Ritter--mostly the Ritter.

As I recall, the 707 gives you a little higher grind which I would prefer and I think it's a better looking blade than the 705. But I'd want a 705 frame for it as I'm not a fan of metal handles.

The 705 is my main EDC. I Also have a 707 but it does not do nearly As much time in my pocket. I guess the big difference for me is the full g-10 Handle on the 705. I Also prefer the older style pocket clip of the 705. The 707 is no slouch though

I'm a big fan of the 705, sadly I don't carry mine as much any more (BM forum knife #77). My GF likes her 705 and takes it on camping trips and such.

I'd want to see a 707 with full g-10 and I'd get one. If you like the mini ritter grip you'll like either.

I agree with phatch's views.

i have a 705 (knife of the month with ats-34 blade) that is in my regular edc rotation. its a great knife especially if you live in an area with a 3 inch blade limit. Like others have said the blade is not wide and you may not like that espeically if you are used to the mini-ritter the 707 is thinner and has a broader blade so that may suit you better. I personally like the 707 with the walnut inserts and d2 steel. thats a really nice knife.

I LOVE the 705...
It feels like a beefy Spyderco Delica in my hands and I love the silver G10 705-401
