I've been looking at Lightfoot folders lately, wondering if anyone has any opinions on these knives. They look sweet, but never actually seen/held one. Thanks.

Suppressor, Catchdog and a Microtech LCC M/A were all part of my EDC for quite a while. I still have the LCC but traded the other two away.

FYI the Suppressor is smaller ie 3 1/4" blade if I remember right. Catchdog is 4" and is a good folder.

IMO, Greg's knives are under rated.

i had a 458 mag that i carried for a short time.

very well made, rock solid lock up. superb fit/finish, and a great looking knife.

what i didn't like:

-too much belly, and the grind toward the tip was obtuse. not great for utility purposes.
-thumb stud was very large. great for opening, but it would hang up on the seam of my pocket during draw.
-tip up. suppose i could have had it retapped, but there wasn't really a good place for mounting.
-recurve. not the easiest to sharpen.

ive seen a few since that i like, and at some point im sure ill own another, either folder or fixed.

I had the Suppressor & a Microtech LCC manual. I liked the BG-42 he uses, but I just don't care for Ti (Or any metal for that matter) bolsters. Nice designs, though.

IIRC, the Suppressor felt good & wasn't too heavy, but I thought the LCC was pretty heavy for its size.

Greg has many different folders so finding a style that suits you will be no problem.

The fit and finish is impeccable and the knives are virtually indestructable.

Get one if you need a really tough duty knife.

I've been EDCing one of a number of MT LCCs for a few years. I love 'em. Greg's original version is smaller I believe. Were I planning on a custom any time soon, one of his would be high on my list.
all da best,
rats...

I have a 1st Gen MT LCC. Great knife, the design and execution are just wonderful.
