I would like to know if anyone ever EDC the Ontario Little Bird Knife?

I am interested in getting one of this knife to carry as a neck knife. But I am not sure about the usability of the knife. It seems very small. I am not sure how is the feeling of the knife in the hand when use it.

If anyone ever use it, please let me know. Thanks.

I bought an original Ranger Knives Little Bird. A stout little thing it was! The handle was waaaay too small for me though so I sold it. Now for a neck knife I use a BM Activator in S30V steel. If I was getting one now I'd opt for D2 steel. Or, I'd go for a Boker Trance and make a Kydex sheath for it and neck it. For size comparison, a BM Mini Rukus or Emerson CQC-14 fits my hands perfectly.

i like justins knives and have handled a bunch of them but the little bird for me at least is by far to thich and short to be effective, id highly recomend the rat cutlery izula same materials and similar design influences every bit as tough but infinatley more fnctional theyre about the same dimensions as well i cant imagine anyone not being pleased with a RAt cutlery izula they are exemplary knives.

Got one of the original LB's. A couple of hours spent reprofiling the edge and it will cut..no doubt. The handle scales were too thick IMO so mine got a nice cord wrap. Simple little leather sheath and it makes a nice addition to a pocket survival kit. Go see my "Flake of Flint" thread in Wilderness & Survival forum for some reall good idea's and pics of other great little knives.

I agree that the Izula would make a great EDC necker. Right outta the box it's good to go. MOF, I'd go with that over my BM Activator if I was looking again.

Thanks for the idea. But I want something lighter for neck knife. Izula is nice for pocket carry. anything lighter would certainly make the neck knife more pleasant to carry.

I cant imagine that the izula would weigh signifigantl mor ethan the little brid i think it may atua weigh less its longer but its thinner and doesnt have handle scales espeacially thick ones. think an izula is ideal for neck carry hell i carry an old RC-3 around my neck when im in the woods sometimes. its kind of inconceivable to me that the izula would be to heavy.
