Anyone Else Considering A Wall Mount Display Case For Their Longer Serpent?

I do not think I'll be carrying this one. I kinda prefer a cross-draw sheath and although I may be big ... I am not quite big enough to pull that off for Longer Serpent. That said, I think I am going to display that beast. I am leaning towards something like pictured below.

I want something USA made and lockable to keep curious little minds, or the demented, from lopping of a finger/hand/arm/head of their own or someone elses with my sword.

Does anyone here make, or know of someone that makes, a quality cabinet? I assume most cabinets offered online or in stores are made in China or some other third world country.
 
That’s a great idea, Dennis.

If I was so inclined… I’d probably:
- run the idea by a local cabinet maker
- buy a piece of glass from a local glazier
- snag some spray glue & velvet from the local hobby shop
- hinges from the hardware store

You could drill a hole somewhere & insert a piece of metal rod (old nail)… as rudimentary access prevention. Anything fancier is just for show, because it’s “break glass in case of emergency.” Oh yeah, you’ll need to get one of those signs, too😉

I plan to cleave goblins, orcs, and trolls...but this might be a great way to store it when not cleaving things
