I usually have a nice small folder on me, but almost always a slippie as well. Lately I've been diggin' through the pile and carrying some that haven't seen daylight in 25-30 years. I've been carrying this old 120T and it's great! Been broke twice, re-shaped to a wharnie and the carbon blade is a snap to keep sharp at work on the bottom of a coffee cup!

What is that Barlow?? Looks wonderful:thumbup:

A Hofritz Pen gets carried as I like the sunken joints, scales are a bit fragile though:eek:

I picked up this Schrade 186 on B/S/T, and its been in my pocket for a couple of days. Made from the '50s through the '80s. It used to be a hawkbill:

Not really a Barlow...closer to a trapper. This is an old Orvis that was jobbed by Sam McDowell and made in Japan. The blade steel is not too bad at all, take a good edge and holds it well enough. The bone is beat up and the scrimshaw has all but disappeared but it is a size I like.

I've been loving this Remington Jack with screwdriver/cap lifter. What a perfect EDC. Been hunting this one about 2 yrs. I'm guessing it was made in 40's or 50's. Anyone know for sure? It has the "Hanover Shoes" stamped shield but its pretty faint.

Corey,

You're killing me with all these easy opens. :)

Don't have a pic handy, but I often carry an equal end pen in bone that was made by a company that folded around 1910. I enjoy older knives as much as I do the new ones. (or at least just about as much).

I'll occasionally carry an old Russell Barlow or Winchester double end (premium) jack.
(Or somewhat more recent Case or Schrade Walden knives.)

Like Gus said, it's all about the lineage. I love 'em all.

Well, it's not exactly a moldy, but it's definitely an oldy - I often carry an old Miller Bros congress with nice french ivory cel scales:

By the way, it's stamped on both sides, in all: GASS & STEHL/1508 LAFAYETTE AVE.

This one has been seeing some pocket time recently. '77 Case barlow...smooth bone handle. This one is close to being a nail breaker.

Mmmh, Longpull looks very un mouldy:thumbup:

Very decent bone there too, kind of greenish..not mould either:D

Nice one!

Thanks. It's an old Imperial Cattleman with Rodgers bone. It's my oldest knife and those thin carbon steel blades take a beautiful edge.

I "rescued" this Case XX 6332 from *-bay for around $60. It was made somewhere between 1940-1964. It had a little bit of rust, especially on the inside of the spring and a few bits of pitting on the blades but after a thorough cleaning, oiling, and sharpening, it came out really nice. It has half-stops, a pen blade instead of spay, and a gator like snap. Plus, really pretty bone (I waxed it a little to bring out the shine). It is one of my favorites to carry.

When I get on the bay I look for those shoe knives. That ones great Corey.

I carry this one occasionally...
