I'm pretty new here, but have been carying a Spyderco Tenacious daily for about the last 9 months. I absolutely love the knife, but recently began searching for a slimmer EDC for the office. Anyway, this thread isn't about that...

About a week ago I decided to switch the clip to tip up position and I found that I really liked it better. Today I noticed that the clip was loose so I grabbed out my allen wrenches and carefully tightened the screws. Two of the screws snugged right down, but the 3rd just spun. I turned the knife upside down and it just fell right out. The screw itself is perfectly good, but the liner that it screws into is completely stripped. I barely applied any pressure as I've read many stories of stripped screws. To be sure the screw was fine I screwed it into a different hole and it snugged down nice and tight. I'm afraid the liner will need to be replaced to really fix it. I suppose I could enlarge the hole and tap it but that would require finding larger screws and I'd really rather not do that. Does anyone know if this will be covered under warranty?

Each case if different, the only sure way totell is to call them. I'd guess they will take care of you.
