Anyone else feel a little overwhelmed with all the great knives ZT puts out?

Let me start by saying, I've owned many Kershaws in the past, and while they are nice knives, I've never found one that stuck with me. ZTs on the other hand do. I own or have owned most of their folders and a few fixed blades. They are just great knives, and the fact that they are using my favorite steel so much now (ELMAX) makes them even more appealing.

Now, having other expensive hobbies (and a soon to be wife), I have other expenses that limit my spending on knives. But every time I think I am done, ZT puts out some new knives that just blow me away. The 566, 0801, 0801cf, 0700, 0454, 0777, and all that new blackwash awesomeness to name a few. It is overwhelming trying to decide which one or two to buy. I can't definitively call ZT my favorite brand; I really love my Spydercos, Striders, Hinderers, and on and on, but ZT never ceases to amaze me with exceptional new designs and quality products. Even though it makes for some hard decisions, it is much better having all these exceptional choices. Hats off to ZT/KAI for consistently putting out superb collabs and new designs and mixing things up.

If they ever find a way to incorporate either of my favorite locks (compression or Triad) I will likely have to file for bankruptcy.
 
I just want to save up enough for an 0560 so I can finally have a taste of that ZT greatness I hear so much about.
 
Here are some tidbits of wisdom for ya. :) Don't ever bother trying to tell yourself you're "done." It usually doesn't work. Sometimes, but not usually. Accept a healthy attitude towards the hobby, and try go about it in moderation. If you try to binge and purge, it'll kick you swiftly in the pills. ZT puts out a lot of great stuff, and this is just the tip of the iceberg, trust me. I was a bit overwhelmed at Blade Show, but when you just take a step back and go for the pieces that you must have, you'll be fine. :D

If you must have them all, then I recommend finding a way to increase your income.
 
I also love ZT's and I have three, but I really couldn't care less about the new stuff because it's very expensive for me.
 
Not at all. Never lose a second's sleep over it. More overwhelmed by the prices....

I've considered applying for a night job as a male stripper but somehow I don't it will increase my income whatsoever...

In all seriousness though, I am working as well as taking classes so it will happen eventually. I am really just glad KAI puts out so much cool stuff. The knife industry seems to have grown by leaps and bounds in the last few years. It is a really exciting time to be a knife fanatic!

I feel the same as the OP really, I was really in awe with the stuff ZT put out at Blade....scratch that shell-shocked. Too many sweet knives with prices that will have me walking funny for days!!!!

0770, 0801CF, 0454, 0300BW, 0560BW I just have to get these knives....its my revenge mission to have 'em for losing out on the 0777.
 
Yes! I want all the new ZT's I will probably end up with ten300BW and 0770 at least though. Maybe a 566 although I think the thermite will scratch that itch.
