Anyone else gearing up for a big order?

Elizabeth and I are less than a week away from our final summer knife frenzy. I'll probably be ordering a 41MC :eek: and some blue loctite, she'll be ordering a bottlefly (glowsticky model), a jaguar classic bali and a miss army kit...and a butterfly knife keychain...

After looking at the images together, this is probably the tackiest knife order I've ever seen...

Here's a question....I love newgraham, but they don't sell jaguar balis or miss a knives....what do you guys think about ordering from knifecenter.com? Other recommendations?



Don't worry though, I'll be ordering the bottlefly and 41MC from newgraham. They were very helpful with the spyderfly I ordered had some minor defects. And their prices are superior.


Look for reviews in less than two weeks (hopefully)

What's on you folks' shopping list?
 
err, one thing, You might prefer the other bottlefly. Aside from opening bottles better (guessing...based on similar looking multi tool openers) it is built like a tank. I like how the blade is heavy, but the manipulations are more dificult.

The keychain is silly and fun but to be honest, i never touch it. It its a pain to manipulate and a useless edge. It doesnt stay closed with the latch so its not really useful on your keychain. Sure its just a few bucks, but I dont see its about pointless for me. For me, its not fun to flip just because it doesnt have the size.

As for knifecenter.com, i think its alright, I have never ordered there but I have not heard anyting bad about it, nor have I been told to stear clear when considering purchasing products there.
 
Oh, the keychain thing was just because elizabeth thought it was "cute." I don't think she's buying it for a user.

Thanks for the bottlefly tip though...I'll let her know if she doesn't check the board tomorrow....she might change...but I think she likes the glowstick part of the other one....I think she's going to introduce it to raves at her university....maybe I can make an LED system to fill the end of the handle.....too bad I didn't have one of these at my last university....very big school for raves......if I weren't spending so much on that 41MC, I'd like one too....well, any bottlefly....something I can play with in public. I wonder how knives will go over at my new hyper conservative university (thank GOD I'm away from the radical liberals this year)

Nothings wrong with us, it's just that school's about to start back up and the whole long distance thing begins, if we so see fit to go through the trouble.

but, on a different note, yeah the keychain is just for cuteness, i have my mini grip for the actual cutting stuff and my scallion too. the bottle fly, i'm still gonna go with the glow stick one, it would be awsome to whip that out at one of the infamous Tarleton parties. Now I just have to decide if I'm going to order the gob of extra glow sticks to go with it...it only comes with two.

yep, i'm gonna go get my rave on now, darn, i don't have any glow sticks!!

I had one lying around here that I got free somewhere and my friend absolutely loved it for some reason.

I've dealt with Knifecenter on occasion and haven't had any problems with them. They're not the best in the price department but they're definitely the biggest.
 
oh man, I love the axis locks, but I just bought one a few weeks ago....my next axis will probably be a switchback......love that knife....plus I need a 3.5 inch blade out there...

I think the next on my list are a strider and native....have to balance out the manufacturers

Forgive liz, she's just getting a tad bit sensitive torwards the end of the summer. We go to different universities, so there's the moving away issue that's on everyone's minds.

No worries, i was just having fun and sensed other forces at work here.

So many knives to own, and so little time, and coinage lol

I myself would place order aswell, but just dropped $600 on a Eco-Drive Watch.( For a minute or two,last night, i was trying to figure out how to sharpen it, damn i am inflicted i guess.)

I just ordered some stuff- the one thing I am most excited about is a Swamp Rat Icepick :eek: I had to do it! I have very little willpower. ;)
 
I'm working up to an order, but I just can't make up my mind. Some of the cheap CRKT's with the interesting mechanisms? An inexpensive custom? Another Anza or Bark River? The new Japanese hunting knive with bamboo sheath from AG Russell? One of each?

Just ordered a Becker BK7, a SOG Tigerstripe Flash II, and a BM 551SBT. (will be my first Axis lock) :D

It's not a knife, but I need to get several pieces of hardware from Fred Lohman for my Cold Steel katana (warrior version.) I'm having the handle redone (make it long. really really long.) And all that should total just over two bills. I'm going to try and devide it up between two orders. I know it doesn't sound like a lot, but the monnies are tight right now. I should have gotten a raise, but something has gone wrong with the paperwork. Soon. Soon.
