I'll be going on Sat., the 15th, and I hope I get a chance to meet some of you.

Lance

I'm going, but if you're going to be there on the 15th, I'll miss you by two weeks.

O.K., so I got a little over anxious, and I guess I'll be there on the 29th. Ryan thanks for the heads up, I actually did think it was this weekend, but after your post, I went to the Nordic Knives site. Thanks!!

Lance

No problem. I guess it's just going to be the two of us, huh?

I will be there too, but on Friday the 28th. If you can get there on Friday instead of Saturday I would recommend it.

I'll probably be there. Usually find my way to Nordic Knives once a month anyway, and they're now overdue.

Most of the show sounds like it's devoted to customs, so I don't know that I'll have the money to throw at the vendors, but I'd be there just to support Nordic since they were the suppliers of my first good knives.

I'll be there. This is one show that I've wanted to go to, but never made it.

My wife and I'll be there on friday the 28th. Great show for customs, my wife and I have gone for the past 2 years and it is a great place to meet some of the best makers in the world.

I am jealous

. I have heard from quite a few that it is one of the best.

Hopefully one year soon I will get to meet some of you out there.

I am definately going! Look for me on Friday.I am a large hairy man with a greying beard and will be wearing a black LDC photog vest.
My old buddy, Maximo, has called into question how I can have lost my job, have to sell my knives and am still going to the show.Frankly,it is none of his business. Because of the great value I place on the opinions of my friends here,I want to lay out the facts. My wife bought me non refundable, non changable super-discount airline tickets for my birthday and told me about it the morning I got fired, before going to work.Talk about an up and down day! My sister lives out there and my bro-in-law and nephew are knife knuts and were going anyway. My wife wanted to let me join them.Since they live there,I will have no transportation or boarding expense, during my stay. This is the only reason I am going and it has really given me a lot to look forward to.This isn`t intended to be a sob story.I wanted everybody who might care to know the score before the little Sh*t Fairey,Maximo starts on the offense again.

Sorry for the rant.
Darn excited to meet more of you forumites face to face!

Why are you all going on Friday? Do you mean you're not sticking around for Saturday?

I'll be there Saturday, hope to see some of you! Would anyone be up for a Bladeforums lunch on Saturday?

I have not been there before, but have been told that a lot of the really nice stuff is gone by Saturday. It will be a lot more crowded and there will be less to see on Saturday.
David

Well, hopefully there will be enough to see on Saturday... I don't want to take that Friday off.

As far as restraunts, I'm not sure what's good. Probably one of the local Scandanavian food places. Anyone have ideas? Anyone else interested?

My wife noticed the Solvang Knife Show postcard I got in the mail, and asked if we should make it a quick family vacation. Taking into account that while I'm at the knife show, she will be walking around the retail shops, unsupervised, with my credit card, I am considering it anyway

Maybe see you guys down there!

Joe

Cool! I've enjoyed your posts for a few years now, it would be great to meet you, Joe.
