I aquired a BlackWater BWGF7 (16710SBT) knife a few weeks ago.

A version of the BM710 - 154CM, partial serrations only, different blade shape (but the cutting edge seems to duplicate the 710's).

As expected, it performs as a BM 710 - very well - as a EDC. Stays sharp for a good time, slim carry profile for blade length, etc.

I am wondering if anyone else has purchased or considered these variations on the 710 theme as they do not appear too popular.

I bought one a couple of months back and enjoy carrying it (did today) use to carry a 710 for years as my EDC.

the profile of the Blackwater seems to make cutting easier ..dont really care for the 1/2 serrated blade only or the black blades..but

I do agree about the serrations, but I've come to see the advantages as well as the disadvantages to the feature. Rather not have them, but I can live with them.

Appreciatte the response.

It's been my EDC at work (police) for a while now and been a great knife. I don't really notice the serrations during use. Pull, use, put away and drive on. If the blade was a half inch shorter I wouldn't complain, but overall the knife has done everything it's been asked to. In Memphis speak: "TCB in a Flash." Elvis week went pretty good this year..............

Taking Care of Business - TCB is only mentioned on Elvis sites. Another acronym to add to my list. Cool.
