I have until friday to finish these 4 knives. As some of you know, I am making 3 kitchen knives for my sister and her soon-to-be husband. At the same time I am making the second ever magic knot knife. That isn't for anyone in particular. I just love making them, and maybe after showing it off in Vancouver someone will buy it!

Anyways, I braved the scorching heat today and finished the blades, cut my pin material and almost finished the front of the scales for the Magic Knot knife, the paring knife, and the utility knife. Tomorrow I pull out the epoxy! Tomorrow I also spend a few hours hand sanding the 8" chef's knife. I am hoping to finish the hand sanding by tomorrow, but we'll see. Monday for sure the hand sanding will be done.

I feel great after all of that knife making, and I can't wait to see my own knives when I am done! Anyone else have a good knife making day?

Sounds like you did have a good day in the shop, just makes me a little green. Moving, building a shop, knife stuff and tools still in boxes and knee surgery. At least I can get a little vicarious thrill from hearing what your up to. Keep having good days and I hope to join you soon. Terry

Outstanding Karl!!!I'm happy you're having a great experience with your knifemaking!!!

I'm looking forward to seeing your kitchen set big time. Yes I had a good day too and am about to go put a couple hours in before church. :) They're pretty much all good days in the shop.

Glad to here that you had a great day....I found that a bad day in the shop was better than a good day working for someone else:D
