Anyone else have a missing logo CRK?

I have a large regular Seb that is missing the crk logo. I was curious to see how many others there are out there in circulation. My scales are stamped A 06 with a corresponding "S" on the blade for sv30 but missing the trademark logo.

Nope just some scotch bright on the handles. would have to rub awfully hard to go that deep. More likely my arm would fall off first. I like the buttery smooth feel.

I would tend to think someone did a little work and removed it...I doubt CRK would let one out without a stamp they have a good inspection process

I emailed CRK and talked to Heather a little bit. She did indicate it could have been a oversight.

"Eric,

From what I can tell in the photo it definitely looks like a Sebenza. We never intentionally offered that knife without a logo. It must have been an OPPS! I hope you enjoy it and please let me know if you have any more questions. We are closed Friday but back in the office Monday.

Best regards,

Heather

I'd think that was more or less impossible. :) You'd have to remove so much titanium that the difference in thickness between the two scales would be really noticeable. Odd that something like that would sneak through CRK's multi-person QC, but stranger things happen.

Here's some more shots of it, you can see the scales etc are the right thickness. It doesn't hurt it's also a large regular Seb :)

Very cool. I have been only buying Reeve knives that don't say Idaho Made because I like the clean look. I guess I will have to start looking for one of those. Lol.

I remember there being an influx of CRK copies on eBay a few years ago that came without the logo. Hopefully, your knife isn't one of those.

Otherwise, I like the look of a "sterile" Sebenza.

If it's a copy they broke into the CRK shop to make it :) it's the same as my others with the scale date markings and s30v stamp on the blade... even down to the weight and washers. But yeah that would suck. I'm not up on the knock-offs but if they were making them of the same quality I could see why CRK would be upset big time. It might end up going in for a SPA treatment in the very near future to make her new again.

That's the real deal allright! Wow, hang onto that rare beaut.

Professor.

If it doesn't have the "Idaho Made" stamp on it, you can be sure it's fake.

 :p :D Totally kidding... :)

My next mod will be to write it on there in crayon :)
