Everytime my wife and I go to walmart, I buy a plastic bin of some sort. Mostly the larger size!

I have all my survival gear (aside from 2 BOBs for quick evacuations)in plastic bins, organized very neatly and labelled.

1.kitchen
2.extra kit making stuff
3.bags and pouches
4.batteries (small size)
5.tarps and tents
6.wood pieces
7.wood carving tools
8.fuels, propane, butane, kerosene
9.candles
10.ropes
11.leather working tools
12. regular tools

If I ever had to seriously relocate for long term surival I could pack my truck with these bins in 1 hour.

Yep, I think we have 7 or so sitting in various places around he house. Everything from bathroom stuff, to crafts stuff to archery stuff. They're perfect for organizing and easy access instead of digging around in a small and over stuffed tool box.

The bins are good!
For camping we use two. One for 'clean' stuff (cooking, eating, etc) and 'dirty' stuff (rope, stakes, e-tool, tarps).
Great for the Christmas ornaments too!

All Hail the Mighty Platic Bin!! hahaha, I think anybody who ends up with as much "Stuff" as an outdoor enthusiast ends up with a collection of the things. I know my closets look like a bin storage facility. Also, I have several of the little plastic drawer shelves for odds and ends like honing stones, rope, oils, etc... they are great.

At my house, the twenty-plus large bins (mostly Rubbermaid) are refered to as "JunkBunkers". They organize everything from outdoor gear to tax records. My major difficulty is forgetting to adequately label when stuff is put away... still working on an adequate system. Color helps a little (camping stuff in green, Xmas in red...). Anybody willing to share ideas, please go for it...
Thanks! :D

I should have bought Rubbermaid stock before they released this now-ubiquitous item. ;) :D :D We use them for organizing off-season camping or backyard gear, stashing survival/car stuff (great for jumper cables & chains) in vehicles, organizing shop tools, storing "I can't remember WHAT is in that one" stuff in the spare storage room, stashing extra canned & paper goods. They are just WAY too handy.

I've got quite a few bins too, but my real fetish is 5 gallon buckets with gamma lids. I'm sure I've got twenty-some of them, vaguely color-coded by contents/purpose.

STOP! STEP AWAY FROM THE RUBBERMAID!!! JUST SAY ...NO!

Um...My nane is Allan and I'm a Bin-Aholic...

I even keep some extras around to empty the freezer, fridge, and pantry in case we need to leave quickly.

"Hi, Allan." Looks like you need some intervention. (Sorry, I can't get that scene from "Finding Nemo" out of my head!)
