Anyone else have blade play in autos?

I've got a benchmade afo 2 that has slight up and down blade play. Is this normal? Thx in advance

i have two spring assisted knives, and they too have up and down play. i think this could be normal.

Tried a Mini Reflex awhile back; had play at the very tip although it wasn't bad, just noticeable.

My auto stryker doesn't. Even after I took it apart and reassembled it. The pivot is very sensitive when adjusting it though. Too tight and it won't fire. Too loose and it has bad blade play. You have to find that sweet spot and loctite it.

I used to have an AFO II and it did not have any play. I don't think this is normal.

I have Rift Auto and there is NO play either up and down or side to side. Deploys smoothly with a satisfying clunk and positive lock up. Granted the knife is new, only had it a week, but so far so good. It's my first Benchmade and I've been very happy.

No play here. I'd mess around with the pivot, and if that doesn't fix it, send it in.

I have an AFO II as well, with zero play. I wouldn't accept that as normal.
