Did you have any issues with it? I certainly did.

I had the G10 Rocky Mountain Tread version. The lock was sticky as hell! Pretty much had to use two hands every time I closed it.

Same here, the lock has a lot of tension on it. Other than that the overall quality is good.
If I didn't like the design I'd sell it.

What issues did you have? I have heard it to be a pretty tough design.
I had quite many issues.
#1. I was at a local u-pick farm. I want to cut some broccoli only to discover one of the scales had fallen off! replaced by Buck with no issue.
#2. The blade screw became so loose, that it was a danger to use. Took it to Buck, they determined it had manufacture issues, replaced no issues.
#3. Same as above. Replaced no issue.
#4. Not too sure what happened here, but whenever a little bit of pressure was applied to the spine, it would violently snap shut. Perfect way to lose a finger! Replaced no issue.
#5. Dropped it on my hard-wood floor. Guess it was harder then the steel! Tip of knife was flattened, rolling in all directions. Guess it was not tempered right? I dunno. Anyhow, Buck reshaped it, giving more of a drop point, which I like more.

I know that it sounds like I am mean to this knife, but I am actually quite respectful of them. I take care of all of my blades, and this is the only one to give me major issues.

Please don't let this sound like I am trashing Buck! They are one of my favorite makers. Maybe I just had a bunch of bad luck? It is now discontinued, though, so if it breaks again, they might let me trade for something better.

Mine has the more aggressive tread, but otherwise seems to be the same, and has worked flawlessly.

Maybe there's a difference, I dunno.

Hopefully just a bad run. Sound like Buck is stepping up. If you're truly unhappy and don't want to deal with it anymore, I'd try asking for a trade to another model of knife. I would think they would oblige.

Maybe. I live less then 30 miles away, so I might just run down there and see
