Some subforums are working fine for me. Others, not so much, and when I try to post, I get a long pause and then this...

Rebooted the computer. Still the same. Did the snow and ice damage the BFC uplink? :p

I've gotten that response a few times, but when I back up and try again, everything works fine.

I think vBulletin objected to my content. :D
I tried editing the post. I tried editing the post into one that went through.
I tried emptying my cache. I rebooted my computer.
I even tried PM'ing the content to a member.

Same time out and message.

I finally took a screenshot of the post and posted the .png.
Take that vBulletin! :p

I think we should find out what
Walt Disney uses to run the Magic Kingdom
and scrap vBulletin. I'm tired of its elitist attitude.

I had the same thing yesterday - when I tried to post in one specific thread.

One thing I noticed in that thread was that there were many people posting quickly at the same time.

I finally gave up, but I was getting the same message that you show here.

I have not seen that today at all.

I'm pretty sure vBulletin has become self-aware, and it's only a matter of time. You've seen Terminator, right?

I think he would make a great super mod.

Something is wrong with the mainframe. If I had some schematics, I might be able to help...

Noop, no problems posting from here.

Always liked that movie, then came War Games (1983). When you count on computers the humans always get screwed. So remember, don't count on computers, go old school and use your fingers and toes granted you'll only get to 20, (21 if you're a guy more of you're a freak ;) ).

Not to worry. I keep a slide rule at my desk at work.

Sadly, some of the younger engineers ask me what it is. Then they ask what it's for. sigh. We're doomed.

Back on topic. I've not had any problems tonight.

I always like the scene in Apollo 13 where the NASA engineers are frantically checking math with slide rules. :D

I'll bet you know how to read a caliper and a micrometer too. My old man taught me how to use a slide rule when I was a kid, he told me there would never be a better way to do complex calculations, he died in 75 I had just taken my first computer class in high school. we were learning FORTRAN and COBOL, it was called computer science back then.

I actually have a slide rule built into my watch bezel. I knew how to use in my youth, but much like T. Erdelyi it was the start of the computer age and that knowledge was quickly forgotten:o

I have been having a few of those web page not available too. Most of mine come when I am trying to get to BFC from Facebook or Google mail:confused:
