Just wondering if anyone else here is into Zodiac watches, and if anyone else has had problems with their "new" models.

I have two vintage Zodiac's; a Redline and a GMT that I love, and I would love to get my hands on a vintage SeaWolf. I have bought three "new" Zodiac's (two as gifts, one SeaWolf II for myself). By new I mean models made after the company's takeover by Fossil. All three of the "new" Fossil models have had problems and are no longer functioning. Anyone else experience problems with new Fossil Zodiacs?

I can't speak for the new ones but I have one
of the vintage "Mystery" dial watches. I purchased this at a PX in Korea in 1966. Still running and still sees occasional wear. Strap was replaced years ago.

I thought I had a picture but can't find it.

I don't have personal experience with the brand but you might head over to broadarrow.net i seem to remember seeing some listed there from time to time. ahgar

i had a zodiac diver back in the '70s and it was stolen outta my car, dammit, i still like the old ones, have heard the new ones arent as good though.

are the new ones cheaper?? IIRC zodiac while not being a omega or a rolex was a little pricier than say seiko, i havent seen one in a looong time lol, the one i had my dad got when his bud owned a pawnshop and my dad was always getting deals from him, IIRC he probably paid less than $50 for mine.

Sorry to hear it was stolen !

In my opinion the new models are not as good, in my case 3 out of 3 new models not functioning. One of these days I will get around to sending them back to Zodiac for repair.

As far as price, I've seen vintage automatic Sea Wolf's sell from $200-$2000 depending on how rare the model was and condition. Vintage quartz models are significantly less ($100-800). New models seem to be selling for less than $500.

I have always wondered why there are not more of these old Zodiac's Sea Wolf's around, this was the US Navy's dive watch from the 60's - ??.

I have a Zodiac Red Point auto that is from the mid 90s. The watch has a two tone oyster style bracelet. Very tough package.

The Fossil store in my area has Zodiac(older models) selling at a fraction of their prices and lots of divers but mostly quartz.
